Blame Game!

Let's all point fingers! We have all been blame for something that we did not do. Why is it so hard for someone to accept responsibility for their actions? I guess it's easier to victimize someone else rather than saying, "hey it was me I did it." When a child  breaks a vase, or the glass dinette table. Mom comes home wondering who did it. Who is the culprit? It is easy to blame it one of his siblings. Every action has a reaction. When a child gets in trouble with the law, or becomes pregnant, society always looks at the parents or the environment that child grew up in. Although the environment and the parents play a big factor in a child life, they are not always the single reason why children decide to do things. Many children were raised in good homes. The mother and father both being present in the home does not necessarily mean that they were raise in a good home. There have been many cases when the mother and father was present that a child still presented pro

Why am I black

The author is unknown, but this poem is beautiful! Why Did You Make Me Black Lord?      Lord ... Why did you make me black?   Why did you make someone   the world would hold back?     Black is the color of dirty clothes,   of grimy hands and feet...   Black is the color of darkness,   of tired beaten streets...      Why did you give me thick lips,   a broad nose and kinky hair?   Why did you create someone   who receives the hated stare?      Black is the color of the bruised eye   when someone gets hurt...   Black is the color of darkness,   black is the color of dirt.      Why is my bone structure so thick,   my hips and cheeks so high?   Why are my eyes brown,   and not the color of the sky?   Why do people think I'm useless?      How come I feel so used?   Why do people see my skin   and think I should be abused?    Lord, I just don't understand...      What is it about my skin?   Why is it some people want

My Journey...... So far..............

When I graduated high school May 31, 2005. I enjoyed my summer. Then about August 25 I went down to Montgomery, Alabama to attend Alabama State University. While at Alabama State University I made friends and memories that will last with me for a life time.       Around the end of my sophomore year nearing spring break a representative from Walt Disney World college program came to our school. My best friends and I attended the presentation after we preregistered for our Fall 2007 classes. After we attended the presentation, we were invited to an interview. I went to my interview and the representative asked me to come and become an intern at Walt Disney World. I temporarily accepted the position. I called my mother excited as ever. I asked her do she think it would be a good idea if I went. She told me it was an opportunity of a lifetime and how could I even be thinking about it. I thought I would have to be take some time out of school, but she said I never been why not go for

I love this poem Maya Angelou

Still I Rise BY  MAYA ANGELOU You may write me down in history    With your bitter, twisted lies, You may trod me in the very dirt    But still, like dust, I'll rise. Does my sassiness upset you? Why are you beset with gloom?    ’Cause I walk like I've got oil wells    Pumping in my living room. Just like moons and like suns,    With the certainty of tides,    Just like hopes springing high,    Still I'll rise. Did you want to see me broken?    Bowed head and lowered eyes?    Shoulders falling down like teardrops,    Weakened by my soulful cries? Does my haughtiness offend you?    Don't you take it awful hard ’Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines    Diggin’ in my own backyard. You may shoot me with your words,    You may cut me with your eyes, You may kill me with your hatefulness, But still, like air, I’ll rise. Does my sexiness upset you? Does it come as a surprise That I dance like I've got diamond
