Mind Boggling...HerStory

Being successful is more than having money and fame. Being successful is more of a state of mind. A state of mind knowing that you are at the top of your game. Many people have gotten the concept of being successful wrong. From Hip Hop recording artist Drake, "I want the money, cars, and clothes, I just want to be successful." Is that what being successful is? All those things are worldly possessions. When you die and your soul is put into the position of going to the Heaven or Hell, you will not be able to take none of these things with you. While they are nice to have while on earth, these things will die along with you. Being successful to me is to be content with life, and things therein. A few years back I had written out goals for my life. Start my own publishing company to publish my books magazines and other literature and to give other new authors a new outlet for their work  Start a restaurant franchise Those are just two of the things that I would love to accom...

From the time I was 12 years old I knew what I wanted to do. I knew where I wanted to do in life. I even wrote a goals list. I knew that I just was going to be somebody in life. I had this crazy dream of writing and publishing enough books to have my own library. When I was in the 6th grade my teacher Mrs. Weaver at Whittier Elementary School had the class write 3 poems for the school contest. I was the grand prize winner out of all the students in the school. I had won a walk man. Right now a walk man don't seem like a big prize, but back then it was pretty popular. Since I won the contest I began to think, wow, I must really be good at this. There so begins my writing career. I am now 24 and have almost 24 poems, 4 short stories, and over a dozen novels in the process. One half way done.
