Everyone has their own niche, whether its rhyme or using other forms of figurative language. The problem is creating that one work of art that speaks to all. That can be read over and over. When one says stick and stone may break my bones but words will never hurt its hard to believe. Words are the strongest thing ever created. Words are undeniably powerful. When a baby says its first word it brings excitement to the parents. This first word will be the first of many words spoken. The first of many words learned.

Poem A Day: From Chapel to Hearse; This poem was written circa 2004-2005. I remember reading it to someone in high school and they responded with, "I was deep." Not the first and definitely not the last time I was told that. I enjoy reading my poetry that I wrote years ago. It helps me remind me of emotions I felt during that time.
