Lesson One and Two of 2017...
Life... equals lessons learned. Lessons are not learned if not through self-reflection. We must reflect on the previous day to not repeat the same thing that we did the day before. It has been sixteen days into the year 2017, and I have already learned two lessons based on my reflections.
Lesson 1: Keep your problems to yourself; no one truly cares. Everyone is going through something in life. Your problems or adversities are big to you because they are your problems; no one has to make your problems their problem. It is not necessary to broadcast your current situation, whether good or bad. "It could always be worse" Sometimes it is necessary to get your feelings about a situation out before they eat your insides, however journaling about the situation or talking to God about your situation will spill over much better than having to listen to the ever-so predictable cliché's.
Lesson 2: Stop listening to everyone's advice: Life is a learning process, and as we continue to go through life there will be questions that will arrive or decisions that has to be made. Sometimes we don't trust our own instincts of being able to make a sound decision without outside advise. Although in many cases, advise from others can be helpful, yet everyone that dishes out advice does not always have your best interest in hand, or sometimes they may think they have your best interest in mind but they are really thinking about how your decision will effect them. It is important that you trust that you are capable of making sound decisions. It is pertinent that you are able to weed out the advice that is not necessarily good for you or have your best interest at hand.
REMEMBER TO ALWAYS SMILE: BECAUSE NO ONE CARES
